Dr. Ozgur Tarhan and Dr. Gamze D. Tetik represented the FIGURE Project at ELECTROSPIN 2026, held in Padova, Italy, from 1 to 4 September 2026. The conference brought together leading scientists, engineers and industry experts to discuss recent advances in electrospinning science and technology.
Why It Matters
Preliminary findings from relevant FIGURE work packages were presented through the contribution entitled “Electrospun Cellulose Acetate and Pectin Based Hybrid Nanofibrous Structures for Food Packaging Applications.” The event also provided an opportunity to follow emerging nanofibre applications across different fields beyond food packaging.
The participation strengthened the international visibility of FIGURE, connected project research with recent advances in electrospinning and supported the dissemination of project findings to a specialist scientific audience.
