FIGURE (Fig Waste Into Green Ultra-Resilient Eco-Coatings) is an international PRIMA-funded project dedicated to transforming fig waste and by-products into innovative, sustainable packaging solutions. By recovering valuable biomolecules from fig residues and developing advanced biocoatings, FIGURE aims to improve food safety, extend shelf life, reduce postharvest losses, and promote circular bioeconomy practices across the Mediterranean region.
